Housings for the HDR-HC3, HDR-HC5, HDR-HC7

The Sony HDR-HC3 HDV, HC5 and HC7 opens new possibilities for the underwater photographer. With vivid colors and precise image details, these camcorders can capture great still images.

Ocean Images has designed a housing to help you take advantage of the great features of these Sony camcorders.  In addition to our electronic controls that access many of the camera functions, we've added an optional mechanical control that gives you the ability to adjust white balance among other options. This camera has an exceptionally large viewing screen and Ocean Images has designed the underwater housing that allows you to operate your Sony HC-3, HC-5 and HC-7 camcorder with the screen in the open position. This housing comes standard with a flat glass, machined aluminum port or a wide angle, machined aluminum port upgrade is available. The HC-Series model housing works with both the standard NP-FM50 battery and the extended life NP-QM71D battery.

Note: This HC-Series model housing can also be set up to work with the Sony SR40, SR60, SR80 and SR100 model camcorders and many of the Sony DVD model camcorders.

How many times have you drifted across a beautiful coral reef, teemingInternal Flip Filter Control with colorful tropical sea life to discover that you forgot to remove the filter on your video camera.  Too late to fix the problem, you hope that your editing software will help remove the mistake.  With the internal flip filter on our housings, the problem is solved. The flexibility to switch from filter to no filter is always available and with our internal flip filter, you don't have to worry about air bubbles getting trapped between the housing lens and the filter.
