The waters of Rongelap
Atoll in the Marshall Islands haven't been visited by divers for
over 20 years. Webmasters, Gary & Cherri Wood, recently had an
opportunity to visit and photograph some of the virgin reefs in the
atoll. Although the trade winds were still blowing, keeping
them away from the outer walls of the atoll, there was still plenty
in the lagoon to see. Along with the fields of staghorn coral
were a very active population of grey reef, white tip and black tip
sharks that had never seen divers before.
