The most important people
are our customers. At Ocean Images we pride ourselves on the personal touch we
extend to everyone who calls on the telephone or sends email.
Many of our design changes are the result of direct input from
customers who had an idea about a better way to do something.
We built our business on word of mouth and personal recommendations
and we depend on feedback to help us produce a better underwater
housing.

Subject: Great Job!
Hi Keith!
I anxiously waited all day for the UPS truck which
finally rolled up at around 5:45 p.m. yesterday. I was
more excited than a kid at Christmas! Immediately I tore
into the package to find all the equipment very well
wrapped and in perfect condition.
You did an exceptional job! I am so pleased at how you
were able to make everything fit so precisely. I am very
impressed that your retrofit surpasses the ingenuity of
the original design!
What a great design on the camera mount plate and
spacer! It so nice that all I have to do is push the
plate in as far as it will go. Now I don't need to guess
at how far to slide the camera into the housing and
there's no guessing on whether the red filter will
clear.
Thanks to your clever thinking, I am able to change the
battery without removing the camera from the housing.
How convenient that will be! Since I can also switch the
memory card while the camera is housed, I will not need
to remove the camera from the housing every day of my
vacation. (The salesman at the Sony Style store gave me
a USB memory card adapter that will allow me to upload
my videos directly from the card to a computer without
using the camera.) Preparing for the next day of diving
will be so much quicker and easier!
I like that the 10-pin wire is longer than the lanc
wire for my older camera. It it easier to connect the
longer wire while sliding the camera into the housing in
conjunction with holding the microphone wire out of the
way.
The new back cover fits securely with the new latches
that you fabricated, and the recess in the cover allows
sufficient clearance for the larger "V" battery. If you
do more retrofits for the CX500, I would suggest making
the battery recess just a bit higher to include extra
clearance for the camera mode button located just above
the top of the battery. (Before I realized that the
mounting plate should slide in all the way until it
touches the front of the housing, the back cover was
pressing the camera mode button.)
I am so happy that you found a way to modify the
microphone adapter so that I will still be able to
capture underwater sounds along with topside
conversations. Not even the more expensive brands
of consumer housings offer that feature.
Thank you for the extra stick-on Velcro. You are right
about the camera window shutting itself, especially when
I tilt the housing upwards. I'll work on that today,
along with a way to reattach the camera strap.
This evening I will be meeting with some friends from my
underwater photo club to pool test my camera. When I
told them that I will now have the option of using two
different cameras in one housing, their jaws dropped!
The first thing they mentioned was the reassurance that
I will have a backup camera. My video buddies are very
interested in seeing what you've accomplished with this
retrofit.
I will let you know what I find out about the steady
shot feature possibly creating a vignetting issue.
We are also going to test out an external close up
diopter so that I can do super-macro. If that works out,
then I will be able to film nudibranchs and sharks all
in the same dive!
I can't thank you enough for all your effort, ingenuity,
creativity, and persistence in accomplishing this
retrofit. I am a very happy customer, and I will do
everything I can to send more customers your way!
Thanks a million!

Aloha Keith,
All is well here is
Hawaii, still diving all the time with the housing
and lights. I must have over 3000 dives now with
the RB-75's. The flex arms are taped up all over
due to getting loose over the years (electrical tape
is a godsend), but I still swear by the durability
of your product! My UW system has been through hell
and keeps on working.
Anyway, above is a
pretty cool picture shot the other day while I
wrapping up some advanced deep diver skills, and I
thought you guys might like it....good
advertising. Feel free to use it if you wish.
Also, I don't know if
you have the links to where people can see my
videos, but here is the best place to see them. If
you guys could add these links to the gallery info
that would be great!
Keith I want to thank you for a great housing and
light setup. I took the housing to the FL Keys under
very rough conditions and it performed great! The hood
shade was a great addition along with the handle which
played a great part while boarding the boat and diving
under a heavy surge. I am really happy with my purchase
and I took great video. The lights performed great and
they were really bright while filming inside crevices.

Hi Keith!
Thank you very much for your help to buy the video
housing for my
PC-105! The housing was incredibly easy to handle under
water, and I got some priceless footage for our
handicap association, as well as for me
personally! The whale shark footage is just amazing.
Don't worry, I will not put it on YouTube! This is
private, and I will keep it to myself. Though I will
send you a DVD of our trip when it is edited. Here
there will be both over and underwater photage and is
made as much for our members as our supporters!
I just wanted to tell you how happy I am with the
housing, and that it is dead easy to use, both to
press the buttons and to keep it steady! Extremely user
friendly! The staff on the boat asked me after watching
the photage from the first dive whether or not I was
filming every trip we went on - this is my first meeting
with UW-videography!
It is just priceless, and though I didn't have the money
to spend on
it, I did, and I have never been so happy with anything I have ever
bought. It may be because I was filming two feet from a
whale shark (actually not exaggerating), and the UW-videography
killed all the other guys with their
UW-photography!
So thank you very much! I really appreciate all your
help on getting
me what I really needed! Best buy, definitely, and I might even have
gotten you some new customers!
Best Regards!

I just wanted to touch base and let you know how
pleased I am with the new Ocean Images housing for my
Panasonic PV GS120 camcorder. The housing had perfectly
neutral buoyancy and the remote controls were flawless!
And the red filter was incredible!
I am attaching a short video I took this week in Utila
Honduras. We encountered a pod of Orcas and I was able
to capture some great footage of them both above and
below the water. What you will see in this clip is a
mother Orca actually hitting the camera housing and
scaring the stuff out of me! The housing took a licking
and never missed a beat.
Thank you for taking the time to make a housing solution
that works so well with my camera. I will be sending
several folks that I dove with information on Ocean
Images at their request!
